Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Vladyslav Halchenko, an individual based in Ukraine, who runs VerbReef. By creating an account or using the site you accept them. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

What VerbReef is

VerbReef lets you collect your own words and train them — with flashcards, a quiz, matching pairs and spelling — and schedules repetitions for you. It is a learning aid, not a course, a certification or a translation service, and it makes no promise about how well or how fast you will learn.

Your account

• Give a real email address: it is the only way to get back into the account if you forget the password.
• Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
• One account is for one person. You must be at least 13 years old to create one.
• Tell us if you think someone else got into your account.

Your words stay yours

The categories and words you add belong to you. They are stored so the application can show and train them for you, and they are not published anywhere. When you create a share link, anyone holding that link can add a copy of the category to their own library: the copy is theirs from that moment, and later edits on your side do not reach it. Turning sharing off disables the link for new copies but does not withdraw copies already made.

What you may not do

• Store or share content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Try to break, overload or circumvent the security of the service, or access accounts and data that are not yours.
• Automate access, scrape the service or resell it as your own product.

Price and availability

VerbReef is free to use at this stage. It is provided as is, without a guarantee of uptime, and it may change, gain or lose features, or be discontinued. If it is discontinued, reasonable notice will be given so that you can export your words — every category can be exported as a CSV file at any time, and keeping your own copy of anything important is a good idea regardless.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time on the account page; it removes your categories, words and progress. An account that breaks these terms may be suspended or deleted, in serious cases without notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, VerbReef is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost learning progress, or for data lost through a failure of the service or of the providers behind it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them, and changes that materially affect you will be announced in the application before they take effect. Continuing to use VerbReef after that means accepting the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you use VerbReef as a consumer in another country, the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in still apply to you.
